Newton-le-Willows, UK

Troyen first graced the NWOBHM scene in early 1981. Despite a promising arrival, the band were sadly to part ways late on in 1982 due to financial issues and related “rock and roll stuff”. They re-formed in 2014 after 32 years apart released the 9 track CD "Finish What You Started" and have undoubtedly come back onto the scene with energy and determination. Their EP "Storm Child" was released in July 2017 to great critical acclaim. A new offering “A New Dawn” was released in July 2019. In October 2019 Troyen signed with Classic Metal Records to globally release “Anthology 1981-2019”. High Roller Records will be releasing a double issue vinyl version in 2020 – “Syrian Lady The Troyen Anthology Part 1 1981-1982” & “Nightmare The Troyen Anthology Part 2 2014 - 2019”. A album will be released in March 2021 the bands 40th Anniversary year.
Their 1981 original line-up consisted of: Steve McGuire (guitar/vocals) Nick Mannion (guitar/vocals), Dave Strathearn (bass) and Jeff Baddley (drums). Neil Treanor (lead vocals) joined the band later in the year.
By way of interesting trivia, Troyen’s demo album of the same year was Gil Norton’s first ever studio job. At the time, Gil was just learning how to record, engineer and produce music. Gil’s current portfolio consists of work for the likes of The Pixies, Foo Fighters, Feeder, Counting Crows, Terrorvision and many more of the same calibre. The album sold out of two runs of 250 and Troyen enjoyed good radio play alongside the promise of a contract with Neat records for a three-track single and a possible LP. Rough demos for the single were done, but the band split prior to completion of the single.
In the months they spent together, Troyen played approximately 130 gigs and supported Spider, Girlschool, Rhabstallion and Diamond Head amongst others. They also enjoyed a 1982 European support tour with Nightwing.
After being approached to play at Brofest#3 events in 2014 brought the four original members back together for a meeting “down the pub”. They decided that the band was to re-form and have since played at the likes of Drunken Monkey Festival, Heavy Metal Maniacs in The Netherlands, British Steel in France, Mearfest, Grimm Up North, HRH Xmas Rocka at the O2 in Sheffield and Blast From The Past in Belgium. 2020 starts with Giants Of Rock in Minehead.
As activities within the newly re-formed band began to pick up pace, Dave decided that he sadly didn't have the time to devote to the band’s quickly filling diary and very reluctantly left the band to be replaced for a short time by Karl Altdorfer. Upon Karl’s departure; the post was undertaken by bassist Andy Stephenson. At the end of 2017 Nick decided to leave the band due to ill health and in early 2018 Steve Haslam joined the band. In January 2019 Mark Nortley replaced Andy Stephenson on bass guitar.

Land Another Single Out of the Traditional Metal Incoming, "Heroes Never Die"

A survivor, a runner, fleeing from those who seek to exterminate, must take action in order to free itself from the predators' hunt. One must be strong, gather its wits and courage, and jump into the fight, no fear, never surrender
Corners Of Sanctuary leave enough space for imagination, for the listener to observe of what it is to be on the two sides of the coin. Between fear and courage, between life and death, all can be inhaled through the new single, "Into The Fight", out of their upcoming album, "Heroes Never Die", to be released on October 30th, 2020.

"Heroes Never Die" is where the building blocks of Heavy Metal meet, melodies and hard hitting riffs, ol' US Metal merged with European Metal, Riot meets Judas Priest & Satan, Malice meets Accept & Blitzkrieg and the list goes on and on.
Corners Of Sanctuary is one of the newest signings of RFL Records, establishing themselves as a pillar of Traditional Heavy Metal within the label's roster.

Throughout their career, Corners Of Sanctuary developed themselves as a hard working crew, no merely at the studio but also on the road. The band traveled throughout the US, far and wide, performing at legendary venues as such as Whisky A Go-Go, Rainbow, Trocadero Theater and The Met among some of the best in North America. Europe also had its fill from the eagerness and dedication of Corners Of Sanctuary, as the band came across touring Western Europe and the UK.
Corners Of Sanctuary had the honors to share stages with some of the leading artists of Traditional Heavy Metal and Hard Rock as UDO (ex-Accept), Stryper, Bulletboys, Saxon, Grim Reaper, Butcher Babies, Tim "Ripper" Owens, Anvil, Girlschool and their rolls is yet to be done.
Corners Of Sanctuary are approaching the next decade of the 00s with conviction, inner strength to continue their legacy and head on creating Metal in its classic form, yet with a little blink towards the current state of affairs in their music scene. Some heads are gonna roll for sure.

PRESS RELEASE Black Sabbath & Down vibes mixed with the Scandinavian hard rock attitude

I'll Be Damned release "Primal Fear" video

Second video/single from I'LL BE DAMNED upcoming album. "Primal Fear" shows the Danish band firing on all cylinders. In the end, only rock'n'roll stands.

I'll Be Damned plays God Damned Rock’n’Roll exclusively, explosively – and with a metal edge. The band started out in 2010 and consists of five guys paroling against rulers and organized religion. The five members come from different backgrounds, but are all deeply rooted in the Danish rock- and metal scene.

The third album from the Danish combo, the successor to "Road To Disorder", should be out in 2021.

See "Primal Fear" in the link below or via one of our media partners that premiered the video.

Review-excerpts (translated from Danish media):
When you can make the audience all clap together at an afternoon gig, you have to know how to work a venue. I'LL BE DAMNED knows, and they also know how to write catchy hook lines that you can sing along with already in the second chorus. One should be slightly made of wood not to want to shout along with "Fuck The World (Be Happy)", "Drainage" and especially "Fever" - a smash hit." - GAFFA, COPENHELL 2016 review 5/6 stars.

I'll Be Damned was outstanding on a day when it otherwise would have been all about Black Sabbath. Excellent music in a great setting." - Poplish, COPENHELL 2016 review 5/5 stars

I'LL BE DAMNED sounds at times like a meaner and more vicious cousin to D-A-D, and at other times there is enough Seattle sludge to get Soundgarden to clap their hands. They’re in control of the virtues, and if there have been nerves ahead of today's concert, the band doesn’t show it. They deliver, as we say up north, without so much bullshit.” - GAFFA, SPOT Festival 2015 review 5/6 stars.

I'll Be Damned have a reputation of being one of the best live bands in Denmark according to many I've talked to. Tonight, they seek to prove that statement through a flamboyant performance, which combines classy outfits with a rowdy southern rock atmosphere. Why Can't This Be Love (single)
Mighty Music
Release: 18 September 2020

Denmark’s melodic heavy rockers MERIDIAN are releasing the fifth single (out of six) from their upcoming EP of covers “Taking Cover”, coming later this year on Mighty Music.

The song is a cover of the Van Halen hit, “Why Can't This Be Love”.

Each member of the band picked one song for the EP, and this one is chosen by guitarist Martin J. Andersen who says: “
I chose "Why Can't This Be Love", by Van Halen. I've always loved that song, and I generally think the Sammy Hagar-era of the band is underrated. I think we did a good job!

Why covers? - Just for the fun of it!

It happens to most bands. It certainly happens a lot in this band. Warming up at rehearsals someone starts playing a cool riff from the good old days. – Everybody joins in on the jam and 30 seconds later everybody stops, laugh and someone says “
That’s a cool song. We should make a cover of that someday”. Most often, that day never comes, but sometimes it does. Last year when the band finished recording the “Margin Of Error” album, one of the songs reminded Mighty Music CEO, Michael H. Andersen, of one of the greatest Danish bands from the 80’s, Skagarack, - and he suggested the band should do a cover of one of their songs.

The idea stuck for a while, and the band decided that once they gathered in the studio, they could just as well record a couple of songs and make a covers EP - just for the fun of it! Choosing the songs was not easy. Every discussion always ended with over 20 good suggestions. So the band applied some rules. Each member should pick one song, and nobody could argue against it.
So here we are, with six classic rock and pop songs from the 80’s, grinded through the Meridian machine, twisted a little bit to suite the Meridian sound and playing style, but still paying respect to the well-known originals.

All six songs are released as digital singles over the summer, and the EP will be available in the autumn of 2020.
“Taking Cover” is recorded at Death Island Studios.
Produced, mixed and mastered by Marco Angioni.
EP cover photo by Lena Angioni.

Copenhagen Burning (single)
Mighty Music
Release: 4 September 2020

For fans of Slayer, Exodus and Municipal Waste.

“Copenhagen Burning” is the new single and opening track of
DEMOLIZER's upcoming album, “Thrashmageddon”. A warning shot, if you will, to let you know what the young Danes are capable of.

Demolizer, formed in 2018, plays gut-crushing, hard-hitting, and unfiltered thrash metal that will have you picking up your teeth with crushed fingers after barely surviving the pit.

Demolizer is the manifestation of a big, angry middle finger pointed towards the Establishment, giving you the hardest, fastest, and thrashiest thrash metal you could ever dream of! If you like Slayer, Exodus, and/or, Municipal Waste, then you will love these guys.

The band was formed in 2014, and released their first EP, "Ghoul", four years later. But it was the following year of 2019 that was the real game-changer; Demolizer made the finals in the Danish W:O:A Metal Battle, and released a demo + single - both D.I.Y-produced and released on Spotify. 2019 was also spent touring Russia and Denmark, as well as completing their new debut album, "Thrashmageddon", which will be released in digital, CD and LP formats by Mighty Music on September 11th. Brace yourselves, this album is one big skull-shattering blow to the back of your head!

"Better Days" continues the Black Swamp Water trademark of blending epic and classic heavy metal with a Southern attitude and sound. Produced by Tue Madsen (Antfarm Studios).

The band says:
"Better Days" is more catchy and ear-friendly than most of our other songs and is a perfect example of us being influenced by many different kinds of music – in this case the hard rock of Foo Fighters and fellow Danes D.A.D."

No Air (single)
Mighty Music
Release: 18 September 2020

For fans of Nickelback, Black Stone Cherry & Volbeat.

“No Air” is the new single from Danish melodic hard rockers
SILVERA, who have been impressing the world with the previously released songs brought the band more than 1.000.000 plays on Spotify. The new single is another preview of Silvera debut album “Edge Of The World”, to be released in October, and follow the same elegant and sophisticated take on hard rock that is already the trademark of the four musicians.

The song tries to capture that feeling, when you are stuck in a certain place or certain circumstance and you are not able to get out", guitarist/vocalist Michael Krogh declares. "Therefore you are forced to keep doing the same thing, day after day. The mind tells you that, that is the right thing to do, but inside you're slowly dying, because you are ignoring the real side of you and you become more and more numb."

It’s time for a melodic hard rock injection.
SILVERA, from Denmark, is heavily inspired by classic hard/heavy rock music. A musical hybrid of American radio rock like Nickelback and Alter Bridge with a Scandinavian punch, not unlike fellow Danes Volbeat. Their debut album “Edge Of The World” is now here, following a brilliant trail of official song videos.

Michael H Andersen CEO from Mighty Music first reaction to the album:
“I've completely fallen for the Silvera album! In no way had I imagined an album this strong. This has tremendous international potential and is some of the best Danish hard rock I've released ever. Both the songwriting, production, and completion.”

Jacob Hansen, of Hansen Studios (Volbeat, Pretty Maids), where "Edge Of The World" was recorded, was no less impressed:
"Once in a while, you come across bands that are a total hidden gem. Silvera came out of nowhere with talent and work ethic out of the ordinary!"

The band was formed in 2017 by Michael Krogh, Simon Nilsson Krabbesmark, Rasmus Lindegård Hovde, and Jens Gade. The four have been playing together since 2015 as the Danish hard rock band Malfunction. Malfunction is now dissolved and thereby made way for not only a change in name but also a slight change in the music style, broadening the span from the softer style of ballad to the punching power of hard rock.

“Edge Of The World” will be released in digital, CD, and vinyl formats by Mighty Music on October 16th, 2020.

Line up:
Michael Krogh, Thisted – guitar, vocals
Simon Nilsson Krabbesmark, Skive – guitar, backing vocals
Rasmus Lindegård Hovde, Nykøbing M – bass, backing vocals

Like The Fearless Hunter (Album)
Mighty Music
Release: 28 August 2020

For fans of Arch Enemy, In Flames and Morbid Angel.

Almost turning two round decades since he originally kickstarted the project, Johan Reinholdz is back with
NONEXIST in 2020 for its’ fourth album, titled “Like The Fearless Hunter”. The record takes off in the dark and violent death metal vein of the last EP, which saw Reinholdz took over vocal duties, but also contains crushing midtempo-heaviness  (“Together We Shall Burn”), melodic thrashmetal-mayhem (“Strictly Sadistic Intent”), hyperspeed hardcore/punk-spiced violence (“Litany of Poison”) as well as sombre, progressive darkness (“Emerging from a World Below”) and even some instrumental shredding (“Fear Corrodes the Soul”).
The album is also graced and enhanced by the presence of some truly terrific guests: Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity), Rogga Petersson (Merciless), Chris Amott (Dark Tranquillity, ex-Arch Enemy) and Markus Johnsson (Eucharist), to name a few.

Nonexist was formed in 2000 when Johan Reinholdz presented some death/thrash metal demo-tracks for Bengt ”Wez” Wenedikter of Swedish WAR-music (Darkane, Defleshed, Naglfar etc). Reinholdz' other band Andromeda had recently signed a deal with WAR and now it was time for Nonexist to sign the papers. Ex-Arch Enemy/Furbowl/Carnage vocalist Johan Liiva was recruited along with Dark Funeral/Defleshed-drummer Matte Modin. The debut album “Deus Deceptor” was released in May 2002 and, following the release of the album, Nonexist became nonexistent as the members went their separate ways: Reinholdz with Andromeda, Liiva with Hearse and Modin with Dark Funeral and Raised Fist among others. Reinholdz continued to write songs during the years to come, most of which were discarded though.

However, in 2009 a collection of Nonexist-songs emerged, the title “From My Cold Dead Hands” came about and Reinholdz started focusing on getting a sophomore album finished, while Liiva joined the band again. “From My Cold Dead Hands” was released in November 2012. In 2014 Nonexist started recording album number three entitled “Throne of Scars”. The style of the songs retained the atmosphere from the previous album; dark, intense, varied and heavy while also adding some new influences in the mix. The band signed a deal with Danish label Mighty Music, who released it in the autumn of 2015.

In November 2015 Johan Liiva quit the band and Reinholdz took over the frontman-duties doing both guitar and vocals in the studio and also live.

Sales arguments:
- New album by Nonexist. Fronted by Dark Tranquility guitarist Johan Reinholdz
- Guest appearances by Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquility), Chris Amott (Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquility)

Johan Reinholdz: guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals
Live members:
Johan Aldgård: rhythm guitar
Linus Abrahamson: bass
Joakim Strandberg Nilsson: drums

Firstly, I just wanted to reach out and send positive thoughts to you during these times we’re all dealing with in 2020. We are in lock-down again here in Melbourne, but the positive, it’s giving me time to spend working on new music and spending time with the family!
Given you’ve been a great supporter of my music so far, I wanted you to be the first to hear all the details of my new single released September 4th.
It’s called “Like I Never Loved You” and it’s now available for Pre-Order on major digital platforms.

It would mean the world if you visit the link below and pre-order for your preferred platform:
I’d love to share with you some of the background to “Like I Never Loved You”. With this track I knew I wanted to write something with a little bit more edge, kind of an ‘anthem’ vibe to it.
Lyrically, it’s about something so very relevant to my life at the time. The idea behind the song was to really explore the after-math of a relationship. I had never really understood how people could grow so close together, just to fall apart and simply ignore each other. Yet it was a pattern that was becoming all too familiar. All my feelings behind this are reflective in the lyrics of this song. Knowing the ins and outs of someone and their life so well up until breaking point….. Then you would become completely estranged from them.
My favourite line in the entire track would have to be: ‘And now you act like it was nothing, living on a bed of lies’
I was ecstatic to get back into the studio and write and record with Paul (Laine) on this song when he was last in Australia for his solo gigs with The Radio Sun. There is something about his relationship with music that is just so inspiring to watch and learn from. It is a pleasure to see him at work at what he does best. I’ve always enjoyed being the sponge and absorbing all the advice lyrically, melodically and vocally that he has given me.
I had thrown around some ideas that I had written previously (mostly riffs and melodies) and we both worked together to pick one that really aligned with the theme I had for the song. Typically, when writing I would usually start at the beginning of the chorus however this was not the case. The lyrics ‘Like I Never Loved You’ is something that I had in the back of my head for a while. We began expanding off of this idea.
Musically, it takes inspiration from artists like Kelly Clarkson, The Killers and Paramore.
I’m so excited for you all to hear Like I Never Loved You very soon!
Take care and be safe,
Cassidy Paris

Still Alive (Album)
Target Records
Release: 28 August 2020

For fans of Motörhead, Social Distortion and Volbeat.

Four guys from Copenhagen with very diverse backgrounds - two guys come from the rockabilly scene, one guy from classic heavy metal, and one guy from hard rock. Imagine a mix of Social Distortion, Motörhead, and Stray Cats supercharged with adrenaline and testosterone, and then you get Grumpynators.

A hard-working Danish act, who already has played a lot of concerts everywhere in Europe from Northern Norway and Northern Finland to Germany, Holland, Austria, and Switzerland. They have supported Danish heroes Magtens Korridorer and have also been the only Danish act to support Volbeat, on a tour in the last ten years. In 2020 they release their 3rd album, “Still Alive”, in collaboration with Mighty Music, with the pure intention of taking over the rest of the world.

On the third album from Grumpynators, the playful mix of genres is even more evident than before. Although there is an unmistakable motorbilly sound throughout the ten tracks on the album, one can recognize everything from country inspiration over punk to tightly executed heavy-rock. A pervasive trend on this album is a constant high energy level. It's rock, cut to the bone with an adrenaline-pumping party vibe. “Still Alive” aims to pay tribute to the good times, the party until sunrise and everything else about rock’n’roll, that make life worth living.

A longtime fan of the band, Michael Poulsen (Volbeat) comments: “
I’ve heard the record a few times now and I think “Still Alive” is Grumpynator’s absolute strongest album so far. Very good production. My favourite song among the record’s 10 tracks is “Dream Girl

The album was recorded in Medley Studio with Søren Andersen as producer and technician. Søren was a conscious choice as Grumpynators believed that the hardrock-sound Søren produced suited them well. In addition, it was important for the first time to make a record with the same technician and producer from recording all tracks to the master. "
Søren has managed to capture our live sound and the essence of Grumpynators at a level that exceeded our own expectations”, says guitarist Christian Nørgaard. “The high-end production combined with us being far more selective this time as only 10 out of 20 potential songs passed the bar, makes me say that this album is our strongest release to date”, he continues.

The album will be released as a CD, digital, and in three different vinyl formats (black, orange cloud and red/blue).

Here’s the next best thing. We have collected recipes from rockers and others in the music industry and now we bring their favorites direct from their table to yours. Some have shared their favorite family recipe along with a great memory and others may have contributed a fun and easy recipe from the road. All of this has been done to benefit“We Rock for Autism”, an officially recognized, non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. We thank you for being a part of this. Rock on!I

Rockin' Recipes for Autism Cookbook, Volume I. Portion of the proceeds go to We Rock for Autism, a 501 (c) (3) organization. We Rock for Autism is an organization dedicated to improving the communication abilities of children on the autism spectrum. Promoting autism awareness and acceptance is a big part of our goal. Our primary services include hosting community-based programs focused on music therapy, music therapy workshops for parents, and social interaction activities. We Rock for Autism, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, also provides direct music therapy services and hosts a variety of sensory friendly events that promote acceptance and inclusion. We Rock for Autism is able to do all of this thanks to donations provided by our supporters. The funds raised also allow us to promote autism awareness through various events, provide children with communication assistance devices (iPads, tablets, apps, etc.) and more. By buying this cookbook, you are supporting children on the spectrum and helping them receive therapy services that can greatly improve verbal and communication skills.

“We are very thankful to the artists that have contributed to this book and to each one of you that have purchased it. This is the first cookbook of its kind, and we really enjoyed being a part of the production. The funds raised will help us bring the benefits of music therapy to many children on the spectrum. Thank you again, you all ROCK!”
