Mighty Music are proud to announce the release of a live album by the TYGERS OF PAN TANG, to be called “Live Blood”. Stalwarts of the NWOBHM, the Tygers are currently celebrating eight years with Mighty Music during which time they have released three well received new albums, the most recent of which “Bloodlines”, was met with universal critical acclaim in 2023. The band, with guitarist Robb Weir at the helm, along with long-serving members Jack Meille (vocals) and Craig Ellis (drums), includes their two new recruits for “Bloodlines”: guitarist Francesco Marras and bass player Huw Holding. “Live Blood” includes material from across the band’s career, including songs from their first four albums with MCA Records plus their last four albums of new material.
Jack Meille comments: “Recording a live album after all this time with the Tygers? I never thought I would experience it but with the Tygers Of Pan Tang I have learnt that the “impossible” is possible. “Live Blood” captures all the energy we deliver while playing our favourite songs live and raw!”.
The recording was made at The Patriot venue in Wales UK during the summer of 2023 and will arrive as a single CD and a double vinyl featuring additional tracks. The album will be preceded by the release of two singles: the live favourite “Gangland” from their legendary “Spellbound” album and the hidden gem “Keeping Me Alive” from “Ambush”.
We will leave the final word with Robb Weir: “Every time we play a show we are asked when we are going to record a new live album. Our live show adds a new dimension to the old songs and allows us to stretch out a bit on the newer numbers”.
“Live Blood” will be released on double LP (black vinyl, including three exclusive bonus tracks), CD and digital formats on April 26th, 2024 via Mighty Music.

In April 2024, the world will be a bit less shitty, as KICKIN VALENTINA will release their fourth full-length album titled “Star Spangled Fist Fight”. Ten bullets of loud, unapologetic rock’n’roll are fired aiming the hearts and jugulars of all hard rock fans with a sleaze rock fallout. And, with an almost cynical precision, the four guys in Kickin Valentina, knock each and every one of us with catchy choruses, indecently strong riffs and a sexy rhythm groove that’s almost pornographic.
Once again, the album was produced by Andy Reilly (UFO, Bruce Dickinson, Cradle of Filth) at Muse Productions in Atlanta, and mastered by Joel Wanasek. “It’s been way too long since our last album, and we are really excited about “Star Spangled Fist Fight.””, bassist Chris Taylor states. “I know every band says this, but I think this is our best album so far. Everything just seemed to click while we were writing it”.
Kickin Valentina still plays the proverbial loud unapologetic rock’n’roll in 2024, as the band enters the second decade of its existence. Except that “Star Spangled Fist Fight” is a bit louder and a bit more unapologetic.
Formed in 2013, the Americans quickly gained attention in the U.S. and abroad. They were immediately picked up by Atlanta-based indie label Highway 9 Records and released their debut self-titled EP in October 2013. In August 2015 Kickin Valentina signed with Danish hard rock/metal label Mighty Music, and has released since then three successful full-length albums - “Super Atomic,” “Imaginary Creatures,” “Revenge of Rock” - and an EP titled “Chaos in Copenhagen” to rave reviews around the world.
Their album “Imaginary Creatures” debuted on 5 different Billboard charts (Heatseeker Albums #16, Heatseekers South Atlantic #5, Independent Albums #30, Hard Rock Album Sales #11, and Rock Album Sales #42), and the single “Crazy” reached #15 on the Danish iTunes rock charts. “Revenge of Rock” debuted at #6 on the Danish vinyl chart, and “Chaos in Copenhagen” debuted at #27 on Denmark’s top 100 album sales chart.
“Star Spangled Fist Fight” will be released on LP (black vinyl, limited to 500 copies), digipack CD and digital formats via Mighty Music on April 19th, 2024.

Formed in 2011, metal band Dendera have been on a steady rise whilst playing sell out shows and festivals across Europe and the UK. They expertly deliver modern melodic metal influenced by artists such as Trivium, Tesseract, Lamb of God, Dream Theater, Parkway Drive, and Bleed from Within.

"I have probably never released a more personal album than "My Ghost". This is how CREST OF DARKNESS founder Ingar Amlien defines "My Ghost", the new full-length album from the Norwegian Black Metal band, set for release on the next autumn on My Kingdom Music and anticipated in June by a single released in an exclusive 7" EP format.
"My Ghost" is the result of two years worth of blood, sweat and tears, that began with Ingar working alone to mould his very personal thoughts and beliefs into musical ideas that the band can then develop together, each contributing their own ideas to the process, before entering the MLP Studios with Nils H. Maehlum at the helm. The result is an extremely personal journey that defines the very essence of CREST OF DARKNESS.
Here are Ingar's thoughts about the new music they will be releasing: "After what felt to us like an eternity of waiting, the time has finally come for us to be able to present you with new music. Since 1996 I have nurtured CREST OF DARKNESS in my heart, and in all that time I have probably never released a more personal album than "My Ghost", which will appear in the Autumn of 2024. Before that, however, you can get a taste of what to expect from "My Ghost", in the form of a single which will be released in June, even before details of the album itself are announced. I can, however, reveal that "My Ghost" is a concept album, one in which you are invited to join me on what I would call an "initiation journey" into the CREST OF DARKNESS Universe. The album "Mentes Reae" by Finnish melodic death metal band Hagalas will be released via Inverse Records on May 31, 2024, as a physical edition, and will be available on streaming platforms as a whole in early autumn 2024. The timely theme of the album, depicting the multifaceted aspects of mental health, also resonates in the newly released track. The message of the song revolves around the continuous search for meaning in human life, and how at the end, the character of the story realizes that their life has been spent chasing meaningless pursuits, and the time given has been questionably utilized. Perhaps the message is to do something with your life before it's too late.
The song is available on streaming platforms, and a lyric video has been created, which can be viewed on Inverse Records' and the band's channels.

Tomy tells about the song:
Sometimes the song just comes to you and this is exactly what happened here. I've always loved bands like Kingston Wall so i wanted to make a trippy, dreamlike song in that vein, almost like a poem. While being fully aware of the title being "incorrect" grammatically, the title just resided so persistently between my ears so i left it as it is. To me, it contributes to the dreamy atmosphere of the song, which is about searching something, a peace of mind. One of the most personal songs of the album for me.

Danish rockers BLACK OAK COUNTY unveil the next chapter from their upcoming album, with the release of the new single “Fire Inside”. The track follows the release of “Save Your Breath”, and is yet another explosive collaboration and co-write with Nicklas Sonne (Defecto, Danish Eurovision Song Contest preliminaries).
“Fire Inside is yet another rather emotional song, but into a rocking package”, the band says about the single. “It’s a song about your judgment being all cloudy and messed up, because you’re so overcome by emotion - which is something we tried to show with the major change between the verse and chorus. It’s almost two different songs smashed into one, just as you can be a completely different person once you’re flooded by emotions such as rage and fragility. Oh, and there’s a whammy part in there too, which we can’t wait to use live, hah!“
Black Oak County is currently gearing up for its coming album release later this year, with shows in Denmark and Germany.

For the second single of their upcoming album “Exit Plan”, WITHERING SURFACE present one of the fastest, yet melodic, tracks in the record: “Finish What You Started”. From the killer guitar lead in the pre-chorus to the emotional-charged refrain, this song is all that the Danes represent in 2024: a mature band with an endless soft spot for melodic death metal in its classical form.
“Exit Plan” is the 6th studio album from Withering Surface following the success of the 2020-comeback album “Meet You Maker”. The process of the “Exit Plan” album was long and challenging with various recording session, line-up changes, producers and on top of that all the obstacles with Covid and post-Covid. The fact that the band’s engagements with Copenhell and various other festivals in 2020 were postponed two years to 2022 could easily have killed Withering Surface that was making a comeback after 15 years in slumber. Instead, all efforts were put into the making of “Exit Plan”. An album where both songwriting and lyrical concept appear stronger than ever for the band. Topping this is the production by Soren Andersen (Medley Studio), mainly known in rock and hard rock circles for his work with artists like Thundermother, Tygers Of Pan Tang and Glenn Hughes. Soren Andersen was not the obvious choice of producer for a melodic death metal band but ended up being the perfect match for Withering Surface anno 2024 delivering a huge over-the-top sound.
Allan Tvedebrink says “Right after we dropped “Meet Your Maker” all our gigs and plans were scrapped because of the pandemic and it obviously created a huge void for us. I’m very proud of that album, but when it was finished, I felt that we could do better and, because of the wide open schedule, I immediately started working on “Exit Plan”. The new material is focused on a much more direct and intense approach and it is by far the strongest compilation of songs we have ever done to represent an album. In the process of creating “Exit Plan” we had lots of set backs. Deciding to let our new drummer go after we recorded the drums, having a new guitarist on board and losing our keyboard player took some extra time, but also made us re-visit the material and get everything right. The challenges and the decisions made in the process definitely made the album way better”.
Soren Andersen: “I was initially hired as the mixing engineer but I have ended up becoming a superfan. This is how I feel about Withering Surface and their forthcoming album “Exit Plan”. They are by far the most extreme band I have ever worked with. Musically I have no other bands to compare them with besides Faith No More and Soilwork. After a few mixes I totally fell in love with the sound of the band, and never before have I challenged myself as much as I have working upon this album. Combining brutal riffs, a powerhouse rhythm section, screaming vocals, melodic solos and imaginative songwriting, this is all I could ever ask for in a metal band”.
Singer Michael Hvolgaard Andersen adds: “Vocal wise I wanted to go back to the roots of Withering Surface. Capturing some of the spirit from the frustrated 19-year old me. Songs on the new album like “Where Dreamers Die” and “You Hurt This Child” show that. I was not sure I still had that throat capacity and aggression in me but proved myself wrong. I always had the desire to make catchy sing-a-long choruses. In the past they were on songs like “Dancing With Faries” and “Joyless Journey”. On “Exit Plan” this desire is brought to life on “Denial Denial Denial”, “Finish What You Started” and “I Finally Lost (All Faith In Humanity)”. Since the formation of Withering Surface, Allan’s songwriting felt natural for me to make vocal lines and melodies on and on “Exit Plan” I truly believe he delivered his strongest material to date which by the end of the day is the reason that made my voice sound strong and have me deliver that little extra”.
The lyrical concept
“Exit Plan” is about breaking boundaries and norms that have been set for one. To put a mental period and start over. To get complete clarity about where you are and are going and want to end = “Exit Plan”. Song titles include “Where Dreamers Die”, “Mindreader”, “You Hurt This Child” and “I Finally Lost (All Faith In Humanity)” and are all with a lyrical foundation in the aforementioned outlook on life, sex, shame, religion and a fading view of humanity.
“Exit Plan” is a lyrical extension of its predecessor “Meet Your Maker”, where a religious meeting with the higher powers made the protagonist realise that there is no help to be had from anyone but the person himself. That you stand alone. That the only one who can help you is yourself. Cold cynicism and power do not go hand in hand with charity. Forget the norm and anything that doesn’t work for you. No excuse, no blame. You are not a social experiment. The thanks you get when you’re gone are worthless and remember one of man’s greatest qualities is to repress.

SILVERA release new single and lyric video "Utopian"

In the final stages of recording their sophomore album, Danish rockers SILVERA realized that two more songs were needed to complete the project. In a spontaneous turn of events, they decided to write one of these songs in the studio - a completely new process for them. As soon as the layers were added to the "Utopian", that comes out today as Silvera's new digital single, the band sensed that they had introduced a fresh element to the Silvera flavor. Inspiration struck, which led the collective to consider featuring harsh vocals on the song. That's when Silvera reached out to the talented individuals from Dreamshade, sharing their vision for the track. Their immediate understanding and incredible contribution transformed the song into something truly special. Lyrically, the narrative revolves around the human imagination's pursuit of utopia - a place where perfection becomes reality.
